64-69 water fill cap.

We will shortly have the water fill cap for the 1964 to 1969 trailers available. About 10 days they tell us.

We will also have it listed in our web site "parts sale list."

Pricing is not available at this time.

Andy,
Will just the cap be available? Or will the filler neck also be available? How faithful a reproduction will the caps be? Something that will "work"? Or something that will work and look "original/correct"?

If the latter, it could open up the options for dealing with my "stuck" cap (i.e. cut off the original and replace it with a new one).

And before anyone gets too upset with this idea, I want to point out that I want to "rescue" the original cap if at all possible, but after reading stories of people cracking the filler neck trying to get the cap off, this could turn out to be a "last resort" type of solution

66overlander.

The caps only will be available.

They will be machined.

You might try taking your fill neck and cap off the trailer, and soak it in some WD-40 for a few days. That has worked for some, in the past.

Another way, is to soak it in "Limeaway" for about 10 to 12 hours. Repeat if necessary. The draw back to this method is that you may have to polish the fill neck and cap.

The threads must be fully immersed.
