'61 Bambi door handle
I'm in need of an exterior door handle for a '61 Bambi.....or, if necessary, will take the entire lock assembly.

EBAY
Not certain if it is what you are looking for but there is one for sale at EBAY cost about 110 dollars.
Maybe you can check with "68 suburban"

The one on Ebay won't fit a 61. It's a replacement for the Chesler.

'61 Bambi door handle
Smiley-
Thanks.....yes, I've seen that one, however, it's really for the later models. The one I'm looking for is the long "grab-handle" type that pulls out to open the door.

refrigerator door
I have heard of people adapting a refrigerator door handle to your application. Strange but true

Hmmmm.....I could see how that could be done, but it would have to be the right one.

The inside and outside of the door can be plated very easily.
A standard Bargman L-100 special can then be used. That lock will be available for a long long time.
It solves the problem, permanently.
