Wiring thermostat to Armstrong Bay Breeze A/C

There was no thermostat attached to the Bay Breeze A/C unit in my '75 Land Yacht when I purchased it. I have a replacement thermostat that I would like to install, but I am unsure of which wires go where. There are 4 wires to connect (brown, black, red, and green) to 4 points on the thermostat (Y, G, R, W), but I have no idea which go where. Thanks.

This may help:

I know red is + and Green is low fan on mine. That is where my 75 differs. Your other 2 wires have to be high fan and cool. Not sure which is which though

The original thermostat was probably a Honeywell. With a switch for 2 speeds. Other "close on rise" stats should work but will probably only be set up for one fan speed setting (3 wire).

IF you seach my threads you will find a couple of very recent ones on the subject that may be helpful

I just had to pull the bottom cover off my Armstrong, and underneath is a good schematic of the wiring
