two stage furnace for shoulder season
I do a lot of shoulder season camping (we are out now, and its 25 at night). The furnace is becoming an irritation as it cycles a lot, is noisy, and the temp goes up and down too much.
Has anybody tried a two stage furnace? (Atwood has one). It uses high speed/high btu to warm up the trailer, and low speed/low btu to maintain the temperature. The noise levels and amps look to be lower than for single stage.
It requires a new thermostat. However, the manufacturer says it will directly replace my existing Atwood.
Thanks for any opinions.
