troubleshooting fantastic fan that stopped running

We are on the road and stopped to stay at a place with 30 amp shore power. We hooked up and opened both fantastic fans and ran them for 5 mins. I then turned them off. I decided to then run them again but only one started up.

The "broken" one still opens and closes when I turn it on but the fan doesn't run.

What would you do to troubleshoot and eliminate causes? It obviously is getting power since it still opens and closes when I turn know from 0 to 1 or above.

Can you give me some things to check to diagnose the issue?

There is a limit switch that turns the fan off when the lid is closed. Maybe it is just stuck. Look for a pin or peg on the lid that operates the limit switch. Otherwise it may be the circuit board.

The good news is that fantastic fans are guaranteed forever. So if you can't fixed it, call the factory and let them know.
