thermostats

Can anyone tell me why there are 2 thermostats in my '72 Overlander?

some models had a seperate thermostat for the AC and the furnace.
I have also seen a few installations where a second thermostat has been added to allow control of the furnace from a second location.

My 69 double had the heat thermostat oveer the bed and the air stat in the front living area

The furnace was standard equipment.

The AC was an option.

Therefore, separate thermostats is the only answer.

In our 72, there were 2 thermostats - 1 for heat, 1 for a/c.
