Swamp & AC ?

Anyone have a swamp cooler? How does this compare to AC.

No comparison, unless you love humidity. I saw a 15000 BTU AC on a Scamp trailer today. I think they must be using it for a refrigerator.

So what happens when I'm in the great out west with 100 degrees of "dry heat" with my AC.

Having had both, I can shed some light.
In hot, low-humidity area (SoCal, New Mexico, etc), the evaporative cooler is the best thing, but it doesn't do a lot in humid Florida. Here, the A/C does much better, as it works by mostly removing moisture from the air.

I just depends on where you live - it would not work in Connecticut at all. All it would do is throw moist air in. Arizona it would work great
