She's a hummer

I was just out in our 71 Safari and noticed a slight humm coming from the air conditioner. The air conditioner is turned off. The trailer is hooked to shore power and the converter is unplugged since I have a Battery Minder plugged in and hooked to the batteries. Anyone got any idea what and why it's a humming? Haven't noticed it before because when the converter is plugged in, it always humms. No sound when the shore power is unplugged.

Dan.
Your Airconditioner has a 24 vac transformer in the ceiling shroud. You may or may not hear it when plugged into city power.
When your trailer is not connected to city power, there is no AC to power the transformer, therefore, "no hum."
Something not to worry about as "all" RV Airconditioners have that transformer.

The Forum wouldn't be nothin' without you. I think we ought to rename it "The Andystream Forum".
Thanks for the info.
