Second thermostat for Atwood ? What am I missing?
Sport 22FB. The dometic rooftop air conditioner was forcibly removed. Currently I only see one thermostat in the entire airstream, it is dometic brand. Has a slider on the bottom, and an off switch on the top. I assume that is only for the AC.
So, I know this is a newbie question, but how the heck do I turn on the furnace? Don’t exactly need air-conditioning in the mountains of Oregon in September.

The AC in my older Safari had the thermostat on its control panel. The thermostat on the wall was for the furnace. In my Classic there is a thermostat for the Fantastic Vent in the bedroom and a Comfort Control Center thermostat that runs the AC in both the cool and heat pump mode as well as the furnace.
I'm with everyone else - that is the thermostat for your furnace.

Circuit breaker on 12-volt panel?
What year is your 22FB? Other folks with similar year might be helpful IMO. [edit -- you could add this info below your ID on the left]

Hi Peter-
I am having technical difficulties changing my profile....point taken and I’ll try to update it again at home.
It’s a 2019 sport FB.
I’m not even sure I know where the 12v panel is :/. I know where the 120v circuit breakers are, and the fuses next to them....all in the same place. Maybe there’s another panel somewhere?
Everything else 12v works fine.

Well, I think I found the issue. It is with the thermostat. The very small off lever on the top, seems to have an issue. There is a small metal contact that looks like it is supposed to open the circuit when it is in the off position. When it goes back to the left, and the on position, it should close the circuit. When I press on the contact, forcing it to make electrical connection with the little metal cylinder below it, the furnace kicks on.

Here you can see the gap even though the white selector on off switch is in the on position.
Here you can see I have pressed the connection together with a screwdriver.

It looks like that large metal piece could be the bimetallic coil spring that measures the temperature. It will only make contact when the temperature is below the setpoint on the legend under the lever.
Hard to tell for sure from your pictures.
Edit:
I see from the Dometic site that the top is the on/off switch and the bottom lever is the temperature setting. IF you make the contact as you show, does the furnace cycle on and off when you move the temperature lever? You wil have to wait a while after moving it as there are tome delays involved in the start and stop sequences.

You will be better off to toss that old thermostat and get a new digital model. The interior of the trailer will be far more comfortable.

I think you’re probably spot on. I managed to fix the stuck “off” switch but this thing is the same technology that I ripped out of a 50 year old house....crazy they are still equipping a $60k trailer with them.

Thanks for the reply. Your owner's manual should show the location of the 12-volt panel. Glad you found the problem. Welcome to the inconsistencies of the Airstream world with the ~1950's stat! Agree with Al that a new one is a good idea.
Happy trails,
Peter

One potential catch: don’t all the new digital thermostats run off of 24VAC from the furnace? This stat probably has no power.

I couldn't use the app to update my profile. It never worked. So I used my laptop to access the the web site.

Is that (the 12 volt panel) the same thing as the fuse box with the automotive style blade fuses?
