RV500 Problems?

Hello folks,
I replaced the old hot water heater with the RV500 I just pulled old one out fixed the floor where it leaked and put RV500 in . Now I replaced all the copper with PEX and i did it exactly how I took it out fitting for fitting . I even left the old pressure valve in (I did add a inline hose pressure valve for backup). Now here is the problem . I fired it up he HWH for the first time testing with the bath sink worked great ,SO I shut off sink and tried the shower worked great for about a minute then it start to cool off . I had replaced the shower and the sink faucet the faucet in bath sink has separate hot and cold ,the shower does not it has mixing valve type. I am thinking I have the wrong faucets for shower and also the kitchen sink . I thought I read somewhere about cold water bleeding or something . Anyways I have a mixing faucet (hot and cold) for the shower and the Kitchen is that ok for the RV500? Like I set did it three times it got hot for the sink tested for like 5 minutes then tried shower after 5 minutes it started getting cooler and all valves are on full for hot and cold. Stumped
Thanks
Mrcrowley

sounds like an issue with the flow rate through the RV500, which might be either from the pump on the supply side, or the valve or showerhead on the consumption side.

is there a flow restrictor in the shower head?

pages 10 through 12 of the RV500 manual might be useful to you for troubleshooting the issue??

if you don't have the hard copy of the manual, you can find it here - precisiontemp.com/Manuals/RV500_Service_Manual.pdf

best,

We have had an RV500 in our Caravel for over ten years. It usually works just fine. However, every once in a while it will act up. I have found that if I disconnect it from the 12V power and re-connect, it will "re-boot" the processor and work just fine. It has been blamed by Precision Temp on "noisy" 110V coming into the trailer.

Yes, too slow a flow will make it shut off.

Hey I have one of those hose in line pressure valves are they any good?
Also would having two pressure valves (inline and original pressure valve ) effect flow rate?
