replacement water heater panel?

Any recommendations for vendors (either online or located in Nor Cal) offering replacement water heater panels - exterior panel 18x14 inches? We've got a '71 Caravel ... Appreciate any suggestions, in advance! Thanks ...

Water heater panel? Do you mean the outside door on the water heater? If so, they are widely available as there are two main manufacturers of standard RV water heaters (Atwood and Suburban), and you probably have one of them. You can often save money by shopping on the Internet; even Amazon carries them.

If you've installed a new Atwood, I think the mother ship sells stainless doors that fit the new 6 or 10 gallon heaters.

Will Atwood doors fit on a Bowen?

Would a new Atwood replacement door fit on a 10 gallon Bowen tank. I have been looking for a while, but just now noticed that my current door has two lock-tabs; one left and one right; while the new doors have one in the center with the exhaust screen on the left. When I looked at it tonight, I noticed someone installed the two lock-tabs, when originally it had only the center one. Learn something every day. I'm just wondering if it will fit. '71 caravel might also have the original in theirs too?

I think that someone makes new stainless panels to fit the old heaters, but for the life of me can't remember who and the search function isn't letting me find where this was once posted. That, or I'm thinking that someone is making stainless panels for the new heaters to replace the painted metal ones that come stock.

The 70's were good to me...
