Replacement shroud for Coleman Delta TX a/c

The shroud for the Coleman Delta TX a/c on our 1972 Tradewinds has disintegrated. I've read many of the posts about rebuilding, but would rather replace if possible. I haven't found a replacement for this model a/c at the websites mentioned as possible sources. Any other ideas?

Callummor, that's very useful, thanks. Did you purchase and fit the shroud, and were there any problems with the install? What is the company called, and is there a website or catalogue so we can see a picture of the product? Is the phone number you gave the one for the company, or yours?
A large bucket of karma is on its way. I've been looking for this information for years.
Nick.

Thanks Callummor. Very helpful information. I will let you know if and when we purchase and install. Rebuilding seems daunting given the other projects that need to be done.

Delta Tx Shroud Replacement

My original inquiry was to "Info1@Suburban Mfg.com" which I located on one of the threads. I believe Suburban advertises on the Airstream Forum. They in turn forwarded my queery to Janet Savoy who made the reply. The phone # is for Janet Savoy @ airxcel.com. I have not purchased yet. I also noted there are several recent threads about how to remove/install air conditioning units. I have not personally removed mine re do not have the replacement parts as yet. I am sure that if you get in touch with Janet Savoy by e-mail or phone you will receive more indepth information.

Thanks for that. Googling indicates that the shrouds are from RV Products, a division of Airxcel, but the Welcome to Airxcel Inc. website states that the company does not sell direct to consumers, who must approach their local RV dealer. The commercial sales dept is rvp_sales@airxcel.com tel.316 832 3468. Tomorrow I will try to find out the sales situation, and then report back to the forum.
Airxcel is at 3050 North St Francis, Wichita, Kansas, 67224.

Yesterday I e-mailed for details and availability of the Ivory colored 8333-4171. I received this reply:

"Nick,

You may order these parts from us. The 8333-4171 is obsolete. It has been
replaced by our new 2-piece shroud which is part #8335-5271. It is a
different style than the 8333-4171.

The 8335-5271 is $137.74 and the 6759A5131 is $32.30 plus tax and shipping.

We accept MasterCard, Visa or we can ship UPS/COD.

If you wish to purchase, please contact me at 316-832-3433.

Thanks,

Janet"

I then phoned, and the lady confirmed that the new 2-part shroud would fit the Delta TX. I won't be at my trailer until December, so I'll order one nearer that time. Meanwhile, if anyone goes ahead, I'd be grateful for details of any issues involved in the fitting.
Nick.

How did your shrouds work out? Someone must have installed theirs by now. My 1988 excella has the same shroud as yours and is deteriorated.

creative solution

Well, my significant other found a shroud that had landed on the side of the road. It wasn't exactly the same as our original, but he was able to cut and paste, attaching the pieces with rivets. It actually works well, although doesn't look as spiffy as a new one. When this one falls apart, we may have to pop for a replacement. This approach fit well within the budget at this point, though. bb

This 6 year old thread was very helpful. I was able to clarify and order the proper replacement shrouds for my 1988 325. I like the sleek looks of the original Delta TX, but they were not worth putting back up since they were starting to crumble. I have installed one and plan to do the other later today. I had to relocate the rear mounting studs. The condenser shroud has a tab bracket on each side with holes already punched in them, so all I had to do was braze a 1/4-20 bolt to them and fasten it back in place. 2 x Coleman RVP Shroud part number 8335a5261 for Mach RV Air Conditioner.
