Removing an Armstrong AC

Im removing the Armstrong Ac off my 77 Argosy TT.
I have removed the 60 or so screws and 5 lbs of Vulkem sealent on the roof.
I have also removed the ceiling assembly and its connections but something is still holding it on.
Has anyone experienced the same issue or know what Im overlooking ?

Not sure of your vintage but most AC units are held down with 4 bolts accessible once the ceiling shroud is removed.

Remove the ceiling shroud and you should see 4 bolts that go up to the unit. Since the AC units were not made for Airstreams they sit on a plastic pan that follows the curve of the roof and presents a flat surface for the AC to sit on.

The hard part is going to be the drain hose. It is in there tight and has very little room to move it off the drain pan. Don't cut it or you will have trouble when replacing the unit

Make sure you didnt miss any of the screws. I just did mine, and part was loose, but the other part was sticking. Turned out I missed a couple underneath all that sealant.

Jack it up from the inside, and it should break free. Thing was stuck on pretty good, and super heavy.
