Propane Pressures

How does the regulated propane pressure in the trailer plumbing compare with the pressure of stand alone appliances like bar-b-q pits and gas fire places?

Can I put a tap into one of the gas lines to power the outside toys?

You can't use regulated gas to feed another regulator. You would need to get a control knob for your device which does not have a regulator. Or use high pressure gas direct from the AS bottle to feed the device regulator. That's what I do.

The pressure in your trailer is around 10 inches of water or about .5 psi. This is what an old professor of mine would call a nat fart. This won't be enough pressure to run anything that has its own regulator. As dznf0g said, I would use a Y-connector at the bottle and a high pressure hose to run to your other toys. This is a high pressure connection so you need to be careful. Always bleed the line by loosening a connection with the bottle off. Don't do this with a cigarette in your mouth. I would be tempted to carry an extra 20 lb grill bottle if you need a lot of gas for toys. This would reduce the likely hood of leaks and other mishaps that go boom.

My grill was designed to go in a low pressure line. Helps keep the cost down, I guess. I could have purchased an accessory hose with regulator, but I tapped into my low pressure line where the flexible hose connected to the copper pipe on the trailer and added a quick disconnect fitting. My grill came with a 3' hose and I bought a 10' extension. After I got low pressure and high pressure QD fittings all sorted out (CW sold me a high pressure QD that was marked low pressure) everything worked fine.
