Penguin speed changes

Howdy,

Our 1999 Penguin is still going strong... One interesting observation is as follows.

While running, the AC appears to be running quite steady, then it will occasionally have the fan increase in speed.

Anyone ever experience this? It happens at indiscriminate times with no obvious pattern.

Thanks!

That's how they are programed to run. In the cool mode the fan automatically selects the speed depending on the difference between set-point and the room temp.

Our Penguin does the same thing.

Thanks, Ollie!
On ours the higher speed is brief, usually. Guess I will check the board on the topside unit when I get chance.
