Parts Needed - Dashboard AC/Heat Controls - 1986 325

Hello,
I'm taking over the ownership of a somewhat neglected 1986 Airstream 325 motorhome for my family. I'm brand new to these message boards, but very excited about the opportunity of restoring my family's motorhome! I will appreciate any help I can get from the community!

After getting her started this past weekend, we could not operate all of the controls on the dashboard AC/Heat controls. Once selecting AC, we could barely feel any air coming from the vents. What was there was cool, but no real volume.

Taking the controls from the dash, we see that the vacuum lines had fallen off the "connector/controller" on the back because the "connector/controller" had cracked/disintegrated (see pics).

Where can I find a replacement for this/these pieces?

Thanks in advance!!
Jason

Jason,

I'm not sure if the part you seek would be here but maybe the Airstream Parts Book for you moho would be helpful. Although the Parts Book for your moho doesn't show up on the Airstream website, maybe you could get Customer Service to dig up a copy from their archives. If you can get it, it will no doubt come in handy for other elements of your restoration.

What year and model is the chassis? It might be more productive to search for chassis parts based on the chassis manufacturer, model and year.

Good luck with your project!
Wayne

Most dash a/c heater controls used by AS were from automotive industry, std parts if you can find the model, napa counter might be able to cross reference numbers on the unit. if he can't go to a large junk yard and show an expert counterman the parts and he should be able to direct you to what you need.

Here is another thread with the info you need: http://www.airforums.com/forums/f311...nit-61718.html.

Check out Brad's post (#11) about finding replacements in junkyards.
