Painting A/C Shroud

I am considering painting my A/C Shroud silver with a blue trim line. Has anyone had experience with painting their shroud? If so, what type preparation? What type paint works best? The A/C is a dometic penguin

I painted my shroud white (for UV protection) on top and two tones of blue on the sides. I used Fusion spray paint for plastic and since the shroud was new only cleaned it with alcohol. You can see the results at http://www.airforums.com/forums/f427...ead-40795.html. After a year, the lighter blue looks the same, but the darker blue has faded till it is slightly lighter than the other. Still looks nice, just not what I expected.
