Ok, say I want to order a new ignitor/flame sensor for my Suburban furnace

I have a 31' 1979 Internation TT. Want to order a spare one of these to have just in case. I see nowhere on the furnace where it gives a model number. How in the heck do I order the right part. The front plate of the furnace just says Suburban. I'm pretty sure it's a NT-30 but when I call to order the part they tell me they need to know whether it's a NT-30SP or NT-30K. How to find out?

You are probably looking at the back of the furnace. The data plate with the model # and serial # is in the front. If you don't have an exterior access door, then you have to remove the unit to get to the #'s.

I can pretty much see all sides of the furnace in place and all I see is Suburban but no plate. I can see the back where the squirrel wheel is by opening the panel there, obviously I can see the front where the ignitor is. I can see a warning label on the other side by the sink, but no plate. Would Airstream be able to tell me what is installed in there by my VIN?

79 trailers did not have electronic ignition furnaces.

But a PO could have installed one.

The NT-30 "DOES NOT" have electronic ignition.

The NT-30SP does.

If the furnace does not have a pilot light, then again, it will be a NT-30SP.

Thanks Andy. The furnace does NOT have a pilot light. It IS electric ignition. According to the suburban manual which is a general manual that covers a lot of furnaces for that era there was a NT-30SP and a NT-30K. Would the NT-30K be the non-electronic ignition model?

The NT-30K is electronic ignition.

However. that model is twice as wide as it is tall.

The NT-30SP is taller than wide.

My unit is almost square when looking at it from the front access door, just a little taller than it is wide.

Then your furnace should be a NT-30SP.

Ok where does one go about buying one? I got one that is supposedly a replacement from my local RV dealer but the prongs that go inside look a bit different and the things the wires mount to are tab fittings as opposed to screw fittings.

Sounds like a new style ignitor.

I would suggest that it's all that's available.

Need a gas valve for Suburban Furnace

I have a NT24MA furnace in my trailer (1979) I am having great difficulty locating a new gas valve. The furnace has electronic ignition. The numbers on the valve:

6201G0025D
7825B
P15
Harper-Wyman

Here are some pictures. Perhaps Andy has one or knows of a good retrofit.
