NT35K replacement - 92 excella 34
hi, I looked everywhere in the forums with no definitive answer... I am looking to replace my furnace (Nt35K) in my 1992 excella 34. I am debating to put a Suburban SF35 series (without the service door and only using the existing ports) or Atwood 8535 (and opening a big access door on the side).
Question: Has anyone put an SF series in the place of a nt35K in a 34 airstream ? Remember that the 35k is one with 2 separate plates on the side of the trailer (3 ports total) and it is not the same size as other nt models, so exhaust ports are not at the same height. I would like, if possible to keep the exhaust port on one side without cutting new ports. I have seen a replacement with a nt34sp and the wholes did not align and had to put an alu plate with new holes.
So did anyone tried an sf conversion on a 34 airstream ?
would it be better to put a furnace with an access door instead to cover the old holes ?
thanks.
