not as cold

I have an A/C unit original to my trailer that had a fan capacitor go bad. The fan stopped but the condenser continued running for 10 minutes before I turned the unit off.
Since repairing, it doesn't cool as well.
I wonder what happened?

Possibly it damaged the compressor from high head pressure.

thanks

Would it be worth my time to just add more Freon, or would I be postponing the inevitable?

What brand is the A/C?

An Armstrong might be worth fixing.

The Armstrong is fully repairable. There is a thread on here about rebuilding these units with a modern compressor.

I will look for the thread and post below when I find it.

It seems to me that many new replacement units don't last that long.

not as cold

Found it...

The heat pump thing could be eliminated and make everything much easier.

Thanks. I guess I wrote improperly when calling the compressor a condenser.
