New Dometic AC Thermostat Problems

I have a 30', 2016 Flying Cloud, with two zone AC. In the front zone/kitchen, living room area ac keeps running even tho the temp is below the set temp. I am also having problems getting the fan to run. When I called the dealer service, they had no answers, but said that my problem was not the only one. Next step?

Hi - On our '16 dual AC 27' FB FC, the sensor for Zone 2 (kitchen/living) the remote sensor is on the TV wall where the (hot) fridge compartment is.

Typically I have to set Zone 2 to like 82 to generate a 72 degree 'actual' temperature, because the remote sensor is reading a temp hotter than the room.

Is that whats happening? Or something else?

You have a double whammy going, with the warm TV and the warm fridge directly behind the wall. It is, unfortunately, one of the hazards of having more features than you have room for. In a perfect world, that sensor would be somewhere else, but there really isn't any "good" place for it.

Our Pendleton 27 FB is having what looks to be the exact same issue. When I called the dealer I purchased it from, they informed me that they have seen this on all the Pendleton's they have sold. According to them someone during manufacture may have neglected to place insulation in the cavity that the Refrigerator occupies. We notice that the storage closet gets real hot as well. According to them, once they pull the fridge and put insulation back there, the wall doesn't heat up (as much) and everything works better. In my opinion, they should have been able to find a better location for that sensor than behind a TV and next to a refrigerator. Two real nice sources of heat. In any case there is always a solution for an issue like this.

You can try resetting the thermostat.
