New Atwood AC Unit

Has anyone tried one of these yet? About now, 18,000 BTU (equivalent, whatever that means) unit sounds really attractive!

106 in Alamogordo at the moment.

The shape is somewhat reminiscent of the Armstrong on my 24' Argosy... but I skimmed their installation guide and didn't find anything about handling condensate, so it probably just drools on the roof.

I'm guessing they have to say "equivalent" because it's a high-efficiency model, so it consumes less for the same cooling. When you look at their specs and even models, it's 13.5k BTUh and 15k BTUh.

I think that's what the previous owner put on mine right before I bought the trailer. Just wired it up and ran it a little to make sure it worked, haven't had it out camping yet. If you're wanting low profile this is not for you, it looks like a spare bedroom up there.

I'd give up low profile if it works as advertised . I don't know, however, If I could tolerate it drooling all over the roof. I tend to avoid those kinds of pets.
