New ac woes.

Toward the end of last year, I installed a new 15k btu DuoTherm ac unit atop the 70. It worked great. Now that it's hot again I tried to crank up the ac and it's not working properly. The fan runs on low and med with no compressor. And on hi the compressor runs with no fan. I have 30 amp service in both location where the trailer is kept and it's the same on both.

Thoughts? Thanks.

not sure, but it sounds like one or more of your capacitors is bad. I had that happen in a coleman once.

Along with checking the start and run capacitors, and the motor starter device (PTCR), I would look at your controls (I am assuming that you have a direct blow unit with manual controls). Your problem could be in either the selector switch or the thermostat control. You should find a Dometic factory authorized repair facility, as your unit should be under warranty if it is less than 2 years old.

dropped the trailer off at an authorized repair shop for the AC today. they may be able to get things back up and running by the weekend. I hope so as having the AC cooling will make being in the trailer a great deal more pleasant while working...
