Needing Armstrong A/C motor for '67 Tradewind

I have my '67 Tradewind in the shop & they're wanting to replace it with a new A/C for big bucks if I can't locate a fan motor. It's the original Armstrong A/C. It was working great before the fan motor went out & the shop person said it's still generating cold air, but the fan's not running.

Any help with locating one would be greatly appreciated. They have already contacted Arizona RV Salvage with no luck.

Thanks in advance.

I'll let YOU find the post

You more than likely have the same one I replaced. Do a forum search on Armstrong AC looking for my name. I posted my detective work on identifying the right A.G. Smith motor for my Overlander.

PM me if you need additional detail on your findings.

Tom

I'll get to work on that right now... I'm thinking that A. G. Smith is the motor for the Armstrong.

You're on! I've been supplying my workplace with plenty - I'd be happy to send you some...

girardblvd.

Try a W.W. Grainger company. They should have a warehouse in Austin.

I was able to find a similar motor locally - thanks to your help... I purchased it & delivered it to my local RV shop, haven't heard back - but it looks like it should work. Thanks so much.
