Need a new a.c.

What A.C. replaces the one in a 72 argosy? I believe the old one is an Armstrong. Also, can you recharge the freon? Where do you get it and how is it done, because the A.C. seems to basically be working, it just doesn't cool very well anymore. Thanks

Repairing or recharging your AC, is done everyday.

You need to contact a shop that does RV AC work.

I had the same trouble with mine .I cleaned the condenser ,in and out.and solved the problem .You can still get them charged and repaired .I found an ac guy that happened to to own a new airstream .he fell in love with my old girl and wouldnt even charge to check mine out and give her a little charge. take your time the armstrong units are quite repairable if you have a teck with some patience. The local dealer had told me my unit was junk but didnt want to work on the roof of an airstream.Im glad i didnt replace mine.Good luck.

Do a search for Armstrong Air Conditioners.....there are some posts on how to get the old "work horses" going again. I have a 1929 restaurant Frigidaire refrigerator in my kitchen and I found a person who was more than happy to get it going for me again. It has run for 12 years now without any problems. Old refrigeration equipment can be brought back to life...even the old Armstrong Air conditioners.
