Can you post a picture so that the forums members who don't know what this looks like exactly will know what to look for?

FWIW, I remember someone looking for a replacement cap when I joined the forum in 2004. Since my furnace has the same cap, I tried to assist by going through my inventory of goops & solvents looking for a can with the same cap. No luck.

I will continue to keep my eyes open, but unless Inland Andy has a bag of them from the old days, you may not be able to get one.

furnace parts

Try these folks. They say they have parts for Suburban, Duo-Therm, Atwood and other RV furnaces. Good luck.

If the cap rusted away, what is the condition of the rest of the furnace? It could be filled with rust as well and most likely leaking.
