Loud ignition on NT30M

The Suburban NT30m furnace on our newly purchased '83 27' Excella starts right up, warms the trailer just fine and cycles on and off as I believe it should. However, when cycling, the re-ignition seems to be quite loud. Not earth shattering, or trailer shaking, but a very noticeable ca-boom.

Is this normal?

Jim,

It is not in our Safari. The furnace in the Safari sounds similar to a FAU in our home. No loud noise, just the sound of a burner. Sounds like there is too much gas being released before ignition.

Is there a way to adjust that?

I have no idea. If you are brave, you could take the cover off and watch what happens when the furnace lights.

Jeez, how about replace the furnace instead of screwing around?
