Gus, is it drainage dripping I presume? You have the hose(s) hooked up to it or are you letting it drip down the outside?

Do you mean water is leaking into the cabin? I would assume, as above, that this is condensate, and the normal drainage route is plugged. Alternatively, and much worse, the pan in the AC has rusted and rotted out and allowing water to circulate where it shouldn't. How old is the unit? If you can't see anything after removing the interior ceiling panel, you might try pulling the shroud off to see where water is accumulating from above.

You might try looking under the wheel wells above the tires and you will see a little rubber hose- whose duty is to deliver the condensation from up there to the ground. Sometimes debree clutters the hose at its start point of the AC unit...and you can blow it out starting at the bottom end and get a blower attachment or find some one who has one and give it a few bursts of air pressure (not a lot!) and see if that stops the drip...if it's a constant drip on a blue sky day - then it is condensation.

Hi guys
thanks for the replies. According to my understanding there is no drain pan nor a hose in this particular Avion (5th wheel). According to what we know, the 2 AC units are normal AC units and as most of the the water drains on the side.
We just started to notice at the beginning a lot of condensation inside and lately we have water wetting in.
Removed the interior ceiling panel but nothing noticeable to me, re-torque the bolts a little to make sure may be it was a little loose, but no luck.
BTW no idea about the age of the units, all I know is that they both are Mach III by coleman.
Ay idea if the gaskets are universal??

Can you identify the spot in which it's entering the trailer? I mean literally, can you see the water coming inside? I presume you have the inside shroud off. I don't know if the gaskets are universal, but I know that Parbond, Trempro, Sikaflex, Vulcum, whatever your choice of sealant is, is.

Here is what I see so far.
According to my understanding the gasket should be a 1 piece and this one in the corner doesn't look like.
BTW when you mentioned the sealers are you saying to apply them to the gasket once laying them on the 14x14 opening ?
hopes the video get uploaded and helps

There is a noticeable difference in the thickness of the gasket everywhere.
Looks like we should go to the roof and take a deeper look

VB,
Looks like your gaskets might be the culprit. They should show the same amount of compression all around the perimeter, and they don't. YES! all gaskets are universal for your 14" X 14" roof opening.
Changing the gaskets involves removing the roof units and turning them upside-down. Scrape the gasket from the bottom of the pan using a heat gun/chisel system and get the bottom of the pan as clean as possible.
Replace the gasket with a new one (Camco makes a nice universal gasket, as does Coleman and Dometic) in the same spot and re-align the unit in the roof. Tighten the hold-down bolts to compress the gasket to 50% (1/2") uniformly around the opening.
DO NOT USE SEALANTS! These gaskets are designed to properly seal the bottom of the A/C to the roof by compression, not adhesion. The few instances I have seen where sealants have been used have been nightmare scenarios when trying to replace a unit....especially if you have an EPDM rubber roof.

Indeed! The gasket is the issue.
Went up and looking around we saw a "little lake" accumulating in one of the corners of the unit.(shown in the pic)

Played a little with the unit so see if there was any loose motion and the corner with "the lake" was pretty loose, I was able to fit a 2x4 !!
And then We were wondering: why is it leaking?

lucky me, we have a roof really close to the trailer so we don't need to do this in the roof of the trailer.

Nice! I have an '84 Avion that I should probably check out too. Thanks for the tutorial!
