jumping thermostat in 66 safari

im rying to mess w the ac system a little and see why i cant get teh fan to come on. i read online that you can jump the wires to see if a faulty thermostat. my question is what is the difference betwin the wires maked g1 and g2? i knwo what the y and r are for but why 2 different gs

ok i thinks its for the 2 different fans. my problem is im not gettign 24 volts to the thermostat. does anyone have a wire diagram for a 6 safari ac unit?

66 safari honeywell thermostat. i tried reading the power on the thermostat and it isnt reading 24 volts. infact it is reading 8 volts ( kinda weird) then for $hits and giggles i tested the other wires on the tstat and they all read 8 volts as well. i called a friend of mine across the state that does ac work for a living and he said it isnt gettign the 24 volts needed. so im just trying to chase the wire down to see why it isnt getting the volts. hence why im looking for a diagram. ive googled and searched all over and i cant find a wire diagram for the air conditioning
