Interior AC unit loose in rear
My 68 Tradewind AC is working great but the interior fan unit and shourd that hangs down is loose in the rear. It appears that the front portion is near a frame brace between the interior and exterior shell so that's nice and solid but the rear is hanging down an inch suspended just from the interior ceiling skin. I've poked around and there does not appear to be any strut that the rear section of the AC unit interior shroud can attach to. I can see if I pull the trailer for any distance that bouncing can't be a good thing.
Just jack it up and start riveting the interior shroud to hopefully some bracing between the interior and exterior shell, or should I drill out the interior shroud rivets (while suspending the unit) and drop it all to see what's up? I assume the inside coils are pressurized, so maybe this is a job best left to experts?
