Infared Heater

I met a guy at the Vintage AS Rally in Salida Co this summer and he had installed a Kozy World infared heater and was real happy with it. He started it and it really put out some instant heat. I have researched the mfg info and they don't recommed it for rv use and state it needs at least a 100lb propane bottle. Does anyone have any experiance with this type heater? I am well aware of the need to provide combustion air for an unvented heater but don't understand the issue with the 100 lb limit on the lp bottle.

Thanks,
