How to run both roof air units

Newbie here guys!! I just bought a 1990 36ft Land Yacht... LOVE IT... I can only get one AC unit to work at a time... I did eventually find the switch in the cabinent above the sink to switch between the front and rear units... initially thought the back unit was bad but it works!! Owners manual says both ACs can work when Gen is running.... any ideas???

The generator must run to use both A/C units. This is by design as the 30 amp power cord can't handle the higher power use. You must rewire for 50 amp cord if you want both units running together. I don't think the cost is worth the conveinence. I try for shadier areas to minumize needing both units.

Ok.. I do remember reading that... but when I have Gen on it will only run one at a time... is there a switch or something that I am missing? I have located the one above the galley... I thought the rear air didn't work until I found the switch..I flipped it and the rear air started working.. but then the front air doesn't work.... I am assuming there is another switch or something??

I am a newbie....I appreciate the help!!
