HELP...Sudden loss of power to AC

We are living in our camper still. This winter the coleman tx quit suddenly. We made it through with portable heaters. The unit lost all power. My husband has looked at breakers. Good. He then looked at unit from inside camper, removed cover and the one of the wires is like burnt toast. It appears to have had a fire. Is this fixable? I am very sick and unable to tolerate this heat. We cant afford a new unit. Does anyone know of a repair person near Nashville Tn that can help. Would a picture help?

If the first wire burned, the second may well also. You must find the cause. Can you reduce the load on the circuit that burned in the meantime?

Good luck.
