Just a reminder that a routine maintenance task, perhaps once every year, should be to tighten the bolts holding the air conditioner onto the roof of the trailer. On my Coleman Delta unit:
1 Remove the slide-off control knobs on the front of the unit.
2. Unscrew the two screws that hold the inner plastic shroud, and remove the shroud.
3. Remove the 6 self-tapping screws that hold the large steel cover on the unit. Lower the plate carefully, and it will hang on the wiring tube that is revealed.
4. This gives access to the heads of the three securing bolts. With a 9/16th socket, and an extension drive, tighten the bolts gently to only 60 inch pounds (5 foot pounds). This produced nasty crunching sounds as the foam gasket was compressed, even on my 9 month old gasket.
5. Reverse 1,2, and 3 to re-instate the device.

Performing this ten minute task could prevent rain water leak problems.
