Heater Knob

I'm most likely being too cautious but;
I need to remove some cabinetry to replace the linoleum on the 1958 18'. There is a Glen Air Furnace that I need to remove. It works fine so I don't want to break the plastic knob to turn it on or off. Does this knob just pull off or is there a secret handshake?

look carefully around the entire knob to see if there is a set screw holding it. If you don't see any it should just pull off.

Thanks for the help, I was able to get it off with no visual damage.
I pulled the metal cap off of the plastic knob, dilled a hole in the middle to see the shaft and was able to tap the shaft with a punch. Everything looks like it did befor I started.
