Furnace / Winterizing

I'm a new owner of a 2007 International AS & had it winterized for the first time---tried to warm it up today, but no heat. Proceeding on the basis that the only stupid question is the one not asked: Does winterizing prevent the furnace from producing heat? If so, can I 'override' that some way?

Still learning---thanks.

hi lochsa

not many stupid questions here, just stupid replies!

and here's one...

did you turn ON the lp gas at the tank valve?

even IF the gas is on at the tank the lines may be empty,

the furnace isn't affected by winterizing but it may not ignite IF there is air in the lpgas line.

so turn on the tanks and light the range burners briefly.

the furnace will now need to be shut OFF completely (turn the thermostat OFF) for a few minutes to reset.

turn the thermostat back on, then try the furnace again.

the ignitor should work now, with hot air blowing soon after ignition.

cheers
