Furnace Service

I have a Suburban NT-34 in my trailer. Over time it has been balky firing up and I've had to reset it most times before it would fire up. During the hollidays it refused to fire. I contacted my local service man who came out and managed to coax it into firing up but could tell that only about 1/3 of the burner tube was burning. After removing the furnace and dis assembling found debris in the burner chamber from mud dobbers and found the orifice partailly clogged. Since the furnace was out I splurged and installed a Dinosaur Electronics Home. High quality circuit boards for RV appliances. Dinosaur control board. ( I'll have the origianal board as a replacement for my DSI water heater ) What a difference. It fires right up and now there is hot air coming out of the vents instead of luke warm air.
I had previously added the Hunter T'stat which is much improved over the original thermostat.

'90 Suburban R2500
'90 Avion 34V
Cummins-Onan P4300ie
Reese Dual Cam HP

As they say in Brroklyn, "now your cookin".

Most fixes are easy, once the problem has been diagnosed.

Suburban has a screen kit available that is installed on the outside of the trailer. That, stops the mud dobbers.

Hopefully, when the furnace was on the bench, you replaced all of it's gaskets, especially the once that goes around the heat exhaust pipe as it goes thru the walls of the trailer.

You know, that carbon monoxide stuff.
