Arrow Furnace goes off intermittently?

Furnace running steady over the past 2 weeks alls well

Then every couple of days just blows cold air no heat.

I turn the themo on/off a few times and it kicks back on.

What should I check or test for, thinking micro switch.

Since it's original I'm not going to sink too much money into it.

There are a ton of ways this could be happening, but the first thing I'd do would be to replace the thermostat. I had the same problem and was about ready to pull the furnace when Andy suggested it was a thermostat; it was.

Check the thermostat contacts.

Pop the cover off and give them a look see.

Yes indeed, thermostats as simple as they may be, do have their own mind.

Glad you got the furnace going again.

FYI, my intermittent firing problem (blower would come on, but the furnace wouldn't fire) turned out dirty contacts on the thermostat.
