Thumbs up Furnace Exhause Plate Caulking

Found a used chrome exhaust plate,that mounts on the skin for the surburban. Needs chaulking to the skin. What is a good high temperature chaulking to use??

The local RV place gave me some type of putty on a roll. I unrolled it and placed it on the trailer so that some of it was on the outside of the chrome mounting plate. I then used a sharpened popsicle stick to cut and remove the excess. Since the putty was not in a box, I could not tell you who made it.
