Free AC unit from '69 Sovereign

I posted this last year and got one or two questions but no takers. I do not know if the unit is blown or not, I replaced it when it did not seem to cool properly, maybe a "brownout". It and it's cover are free for you to pick up in the Midwest. I live in a suburb of Kansas City on the Kansas side. No shipping.

Is this an armstrong, and is it still available?

The Air Conditioner is an Armstrong and is the original for this 1969 Sovereign. It is still available and is in my carport.

The unit has been recycled with a new owner. I hope Dave can bring it back to life or use it to help recover another unit.

No I haven't really tried still working on other issues. like frame on replacement of some dry rot on rear. have to replace about 12" to the start of the curve section. plus being 71 I have to line up a couple of strong grandsons to do some heavy lifting.

[QUOTE=dave69;1637224]How did you get the upper unit off of the top. I have spent the last 2 days trying to remove mine. I have the lower part out but the upper part will not turn loose. I took the screws out from the perimeter and the caulking around the wire openings but it is still stuck. Any suggestions?[

I think I have read that a lot of rivets need to come off to get these old units off.
