Duct work

I'm curious as to how the duct work for the furnace is situated under the floor?

In my '67, the duct work sits on top of the floor. It runs straight back from the furnace then turns an angle.

If you have a specific reason for asking, I might have a picture which may help your understanding.

In my 68 Safari the ductwork goes from the furnace, under the floor, and has a vent outlet in the front dinette area, and in the rear bath area.

What you are I think talking about are the 2" branches warming up your fresh and waste water tanks.

They just go thru the floor an down maybe 6-10" into those compartments

Here's a pic of a '64 Ambassador duct work. Now, how the heck do I remove the darn thing? I've gotten the end pieces off and am now scratching my head as to how they installed it in the first place. It looks like the gurus at the factory put it in before they welded the rear bumper on. I'm close to grabbing the sawsall for a ductectomy. Any help (or conciliatory words) would be appreciated.
