Dual A/C Question

In my new GT I have dual A/C's. One is 15000 BTU and the other 13500 BTU.

My question is, which one is which? Is the front or back A/C the bigger one?

Thanks!

The front AC is the 15K and the rear is 13.5K

Our new International 30 has two as well. As mentioned above, the bigger ac is the front. It also is the heat pump. I thought it odd that it is wired as zone 2 on the thermostat. I think zone 2 should be the second less capable unit.
But what do I know...

Hi. We have a 2015 Eddie Bauer 27’ with two ACs. In ours, the front unit, over the beds, is the smaller 13.5, with the 15 in the larger living area in the back. If you remove the ceiling mounted filter covers for each, you can usually see the units’ specs listed on a Dometic sticker, which would remove all doubt for you. Joe

I have still not determined which A/C is the bigger one of the two. You would think the owners manual would specify which A/C was which but that is not the case.

But on to another dual A/C question. How have you found to be the best way to use the two A/C's? Do you leave the fan on AUTO or keep the fans running continuously? Do you run them with at the same temperature setting?

Thanks!

I have the 2 AC and I usually keep both at the same temperature but I guess that just a personal preference. I also guess it would matter where you are. Here is the SouthEast..the humidity is brutal even at night so I try to keep the inside as dry as possible. It always amazes me just how much water gets pulled out of the Airstream by the AC unit. In other parts of the country you may only need to run one unit. In that case I would think running just the front one would be better because it would be quieter.

Don’t know if this is true or not but I was told to leave the fan on auto instead of continuously running the fan.

From what I have read, the main cabin unit is the larger over the bedroom unit.

I use auto if power supply is good (different campfire).

What I have found is the main unit “spills over” into the bedroom nicely. Thus I set the bedroom slightly higher if running both.

I never run fan mode. For me it’s too hot or not.

Just my 2cts.

The air conditioner that also controls the furnace is the larger capacity air conditioner.
