.... I had to check the AC, one more time. It still works.

The few seconds for the fan to start blowing and the 2 to 3 minutes for the compressor to start up afterwards. Just remember the delay of the compressor starting up 2 to 3 minutes AFTER the fan is blowing. If you do not know about the delay, you could have a perfectly operating system and just shutting it down too soon.

Why Penguin Air Conditioners dis continued

In my search for an inexpensive, as possible, A/C I have discovered that many of the Penguin models are discontinued. Can it be from the rash of problems noted here? There are replacement models....BUT, I see where you have to be knowledgable when buying. I see lots of "good" prices appearing from wholesale sellers and salvage folks. I am going back the another Mach 8. Wish the Carrier low profile was still being made....I have one which has been perfect for the past four years.

"If it can't be reduced, reused, repaired, rebuilt, refurbished, refinished, resold, recycled or composted
then it should be restricted, redesigned or removed from production."
