Dometic AC unit driving me crazy

In our 30' International we have 2 AC/Heatpump units. Zone 1 above the rear bedroom area is 13k unit and is working flawlessly. The middle zone 2 is a 15k unit is another story. To get the AC started I have to set the temp way low to about 60 for the compressor to kick in. Once it is operating I set it to 75 and it will cycle on and off normal for a while. Then somewhere along the day the compressor doesn't kick in but the fan keeps on running 24/7 without shutting off. To get things started again I have to shut the unit down, restart, lower the temp again and the whole aggravating cycle repeats itself. I have taken it to the local AS dealer left it with them for two days. The manager than informed me that there is nothing wrong with the unit it is just the way it is. I refuse to accept that explanation. Am I OTL on this or is he?

The problem is in the thermostat. What type of stat is it? is it a self contained bulb in the return air flow or a wall stat? If a wall stat what wall is it on and what can be effecting the temperature on that wall?

Dometic dual zone thermostat. Zone 2 has a remote sensor thermostat with a red bulb on the tip, mounted on the wall by the fridge. I tested the it and it works fine. I also remounted it and caulked the hole around the wire. That hole is about 1/2 in diam.
Yesterday I turned zone 2 AC on, by lowering the temp to 60 and after the compressor kicked in I set it at 75. The darn thing worked beautifully cycling on and of all day.

After the frig has run for a day or more feel the wall along side it. It will be 10 to 15 degrees hotter than any other wall in the trailer. If the stat is on that wall it will never work.

I am going to experiment with that. Last week we came home from a trip and my wife left the fridge running for a couple of days before emptying it. It was than that it started to act up again. I noticed it because we didn't need to use it on the trip. I had to turn it on at home to keep it cool until the boss is done cleaning it.
