Confusing diagnosis on A/C

Took 26u to shop three weeks ago. Problem was that front a/c would not cool and diagnostics said that front sensor was missing. Shop called today to say that Dometic had agreed to replace both a/c units. I thought that it only needed thermostat and was a little shocked that both units are being replaced. Any thoughts?

Could be some sort of recall they are not telling you. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Just make sure both unit function properly and independently before leaving repair shop.

Sounds like a good deal to me. I have only one Dometic and mechanically it has held up pretty well but the manual thermostat was junk on the thing. They are not very detail oriented with their designs or they are really cheap or both. I have had to re-engineer stuff that is dirt simple and they did it right 30 yrs ago but they can't do now.

Got the AS back today and all seems to work. I was impressed with North Dallas RV. Trailer was clean and both service manager and tech spent time with me to explain what they had done and why. The tech even helped me hook up the trailer to TV. This was in stark contrast to Vogt who spent no time with me to explain things and just dropped the AS off in the parking lot and went back inside. North Dallas just lost one of their key people, so if you know of anyone that would want to change employment have them call at (972) 242-0404. Ask for Randy.
