I'm sure you're probably are aware of the VW websites but if you're looking to buy check out thesamba.com. Lots of buses for sale. Some reasonably priced others not so much. Good luck.

Update - we bench tested the ac this weekend and with a couple tweaks seems all is well. RVSUPPLIES has been very good to work with. They quickly responded to our questions and concerns in a professional and straightforward manner. They increased the discount to 15% as I requested. They are a third party vendor on Amazon and I don't hesitate to recommend them based on our experience. Thanks for the responses on this - reassurance is valuable in this process.

I have to admit I was expecting a bit more discount.
I had a similar experience last year when I replaced the rooftop unit on my 99, base bent and compressor tilted. The shroud was cracked on mine. I straightened the compressor and the metal base as best I could, as Lewster suggested you should. I have had no problems since I installed it.

Kind of like how Martinez, GA is Martin-nez, not Mar-ti-nez, and Houston county in GA is Howston.

There is lots of that around our great country. It's the way the locals can tell themselves from the tourists!!!

In NYC, Houston is also 'how-stun'

In Mass., Haverhill is pronounced like it's spelled by non-locals 'haver-hill' but those in the know call in 'hay-vrill'

Ya just never know.....unless you DO!!!!!!!!!!!
