Coleman A/C Heater Setting

I recently bought my 86 31' Sovereign.....I believe the Coleman A/C is original, and it seems to cool fairly well, although pretty noisy at times. Problem is, when I turn it to the heat setting, the air does not get warm/hot.
I just tried it for the first time, since the weather has been blistering ever since I bought it. I guess I can heat in other ways, just wondering if this is a common problem with these Coleman units.
Thanks for any input!
