Question Carrier AC Drain

I have an 82 Excella with a carrier V HC AC. I do not believe that the AC is original to the trailer. The trailer has a drain hose coming out the bottom. The AC manual says the the AC drain should be cleaned yearly. When I removed the cover on the AC I do not see any connection for a hose. does anyone know if I am correct in assuming that the original AC had a drain to the hose but the replacement AC does not have a hose drain -- ie it just drains water to the roof?
