Can you identify this AC unit?
This unit is from an '06 Safari LS 23'. From my research, the LS upgrade package should have a 13.5k AC, but the owner says it is an 11k unit. I am having the AS looked at this weekend, but don't want to waste time if it is an 11k unit as the larger AC is pretty much a necessity here in TX. Help! Thanks in advance!!

No matter what the btu rating, they all look the same. No way to tell from the photo. My Carrier AirV unit (15k) had High Capacity on the outside shroud, but it was just a decal. Even if you could tell things from photos, that one is too small to read what is printed on it. Go for the 1600 max pixil size if you want any useful answers.
Where in TX? Having lived there, the larger the AC the better. Best of luck.

I was afraid of that, don't currently have any better pics. How can I tell in person what size it has? If the stickers, etc are generic, does the shroud have to come off or is there some other way to tell? The trailer is in fantastic shape, but this would probably be a deal breaker.
I'm in Central TX, Lampasas, and it gets pretty warm!

Drop the plastic cover inside the trailer. There should be a sticker telling you what BTU it is.
You can get a newer, bigger a/c unit for less than a grand, if it isn't big enough. If it's an 11K, maybe you and the seller can work something out.

We have an 06 19' Safari SE LS...and I am pretty sure the LS package gives you an upgrade from 11,000 to 13,500 BTU AC/Heat Pump... I looked up ours and it's a 13,500... I'll bet yours is too. The Dometic Penguin AC/HP Model # is 630515... Their catalog that you can download on line lists this modedl number as a 13,500 BTU.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for all your replies! I downloaded the catalog and it appears that only one of the 11 listed is an 11k. Also, the owner says it has a heat strip, and the only two listed with heat strips are 13.5k I think my odds are pretty good that it's a 13.5k. Now if I could only get the numbers to see what it really has. Kinda hard from 6600 miles away...lol
Thanks again for all the help! This forum rocks!
