Question Can I run the furnace in one zone and the heat pump in the other zone?

Hi all,

I have a 27 FB with 50 amp service and two air conditioner/heat pump units.

When I only have access to 30 amp service, I presume I cannot run both heat pump units simultaneously, so I am wondering if I am able to run the furnace in one zone and the heat pump in the other?

Many thanks for any help with this,

Phil

From an electrical standpoint yes. The furnace runs on 12 volts DC while the heat pump is 110 volts AC.

If it is cold outside the furnace would be preferred as it also heats below the floor to protect the tanks.

Not sure where you are camping that would require that much heat but stay warm.
